The Kitchen Fund
As we get closer to the wedding, we're amazed by how generous all of our wonderful guests are. At this point we have just about everything to stock our dream kitchen... the only problem is that the kitchen still looks something like this:
To help with whipping that kitchen into shape, we thought we'd do something a little different and set up a quick and easy PayPal fund to make it easy to contribute to building us a kitchen with space for all these gadgets. Just click on the menu below to select an option, and select Buy Now to go to PayPal's secure checkout site. The money goes straight into our Kitchen Fund!

Start Planning Your 36 Hours in Philadelphia!
| From the New York Times |
One suggestion they offer is the new Barnes Foundation on the Ben Franklin Parkway. This brand-new museum designed by Tod Williams and Billie Tsien houses a collection of Impressionist and Early Modern paintings and sculpture worth an estimated 25 billion dollars. And it's just steps from the center of town.
Keep in mind that the Barnes only offers timed tickets that tend to sell out months in advance, so buy online well ahead of April. Take a look at the NYT article to see even more great things on offer.

Save the Dates are Sent!
After a lot of gathering addresses and several rounds of refinement, we've finally sent off our Save-the-Date's, which Audrey and I designed and printed ourselves. Audrey spent hours over the Thanksgiving break personally addressing a card to each of you.
You may have noticed the unique hand-stamped "B. Free Franklin" cancel on your card, which has a great Philadelphia story behind it. The Save-the-Dates were mailed from the post office closest to my office, which just happens to be located in a building once owned by Ben Franklin, who was the first Postmaster General, having been appointed to that post in 1775. The Post Office opened the branch in 1975, on the 200th anniversary of Franklin's appointment, and it serves as an operating, colonial-themed post office, with a small attached Postal Museum. Each piece of mail sent from the location still receives a hand stamp, making it a favorite for sending local wedding invitations with a unique reminder that they were "Made in Philadelphia."
